NY-10: A crowded field competes for the vacant seat spanning Lower Manhattan and a big chunk of Brooklyn. Upstart Suraj Patel is vying to unseat both incumbents. Carolyn Maloney and Jerry Nadler, both longtime New York institutions, go up against each other after redistricting landed them in the same Manhattan district. New Yorkers will be heading to the polls - or mailing in absentee ballots from the Hamptons, as the case may be - for congressional and state Senate contests under a court-ordered redistricting plan.
